5 Reasons to take up office space in King’s Cross

In a previous post we briefly spoke on King’s Cross’s potential to rival East London’s tech growth, and although only in its infancy, clear progress has been made to the north of London. Here are five reasons you should drop everything you’re doing and look for space in King’s Cross.

1. Transport

Firstly, let’s tackle every workers worst nightmare; the dreaded commute. King’s Cross has arguably the best transport links in the capital. King’s Cross and Euston Station provide unrivalled access to the Northern (both Branches), Circle, Central, Metropolitan, Victoria, Piccadilly, and Hammersmith & City lines…that was a mouthful.

And it’s not just links across London that are so great from King’s Cross. St. Pancras International services right across the country and its new Eurostar lines that can have you in Brussels just over two hours.

2. Street food markets

Since the completion of King’s Cross Station its square plays host to a varied selection of street food stalls that are perfect for lunch. Recent developments in King’s Cross have actually created a number of fantastic lunchtime spots, and over the summer Cubitt Square held the Kerb market, another great example of food on offer.

3. Everyone else seems to be

Google, Facebook, Universal Music UK…these are just a few of the big names that have plans to join Guardian News & Media in King’s Cross. Some companies have taken refuge from higher rents, whilst others have sought out the larger spaces that are becoming available in North London.

4. There are some great offices available

We’ve featured some excellent properties over the last month, and some of them have been truly inspiring. Buildings such as The Lighthouse, 1 Canal Side Studios and the trendy Exmouth house, go to show the innovation present in the regeneration of the area.

As well as these leased options, North London also provides an exciting variety of serviced and co-working options.

5. Canal side

Where better to take a lunch time stroll to chill out then down by the canal? King’s Cross has loads of great canal side spots such as recently redeveloped Granary Square with its amazing fountains.
